Fall Cleaning?

Journal Entry: Fri Nov 6, 2009, 11:30 PM

Hi there, if you have dropped by (and chances are you will after reading this) you will notice I have moved a LOT of art around. Well, the long overdue clean out has begun. I will most likely start getting rid of art dating back 3 years or more when I start posting new stuff up.

Long, looooong overdue.

I've been livin my life as a normal Jane the last year now. Feels weird to have a steady job... going on a year now. But sometimes I wonder how long that may last with these economic storms. Right now I have the flu and am living on chicken soup, cough medicine and neocitran. I have a B-Boy roommate from California (I kid you not) who's music tastes I totaly dig - he's moving home in December. I am looking for a new roomie ;) Anyone State side wanna brave the Calgary Canadian winter? Rent is $450? Heh heh.

Life has been okay. How are you all doing?

Oh yeah. :) I liked Small Favor but... it didn't FEEL like Harry to me. Felt to, I'm not sure, churchy I guess? Still liked it though, and given the characters, made sense with the more than usual churchy kind of feel. Still, loved it even if it wasn't one of my favs in the series. I still miss Lash though.

Speaking of that, I wonder what the headache was about in this one? He made sure to mention it enough to make you wonder in the beginning, then went no where with it. At least in this book. A set up for something in the future? Guess only time will tell if it was anything at all.

I'm re-reading Proven Guilty at the moment. Between new books, of any kind, I tend to re-read others. heh. Have you read any of Simon R Green's Nightside? I like it, not as much as the Dresden books, but enough to follow the series.

Some of my friends have LOVED the Nightside and not so much Dresden, and others LOVED Dresden and not Taylor so... yeah. What can you do? :)

How did it feel churchy? Churchy was the short fic in 'Mean Streets' where Dresden has another convo with Uriel - which I loved.

I'm sad but also glad Lash didn't get her claws into his soul. That just doesn't bode well with me. The angelic powers I dunno about yet either.

I have read the short in Mean Streets about Taylor but I dunno if I want to get into the series. There is another tho in the book about Remy - an angel... ermmm... haven't found it in the bookstores yet. I'll hunt it down when I'm done reading

I have re-read the Mercy Thompson Series - about a Skin walker... *grins* and the other is The Walker Papers by C E Murphy - about a first nations modern woman who finds out she is also a shaman (I would recommend this)
